Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up commercial projects across the Midwest region, with frequent travel and regional assignments. This on-site role requires hands-on leadership, coordination of subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality from mobilization to closeout.

Projects include QSR, retail, and other commercial builds. Lodging is provided, with per diem, mileage reimbursement, and a strong backlog of work to maintain project flow.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field operations on construction projects.
• Experience completing ground-up construction projects including sitework and building phases.
• Strong scheduling, planning, and subcontractor coordination skills.
• Ability to manage fast-paced projects with aggressive schedules and multiple moving parts.
• Communicate effectively with owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
• Oversee ground-up commercial construction, including sitework and civil coordination.
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, utilities, material deliveries, and equipment.
• Partner with Project Managers to maintain schedules and budgets.
• Develop and maintain two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Lead site safety efforts and OSHA-compliant environments.
• Perform quality control inspections and corrective actions.
• Complete daily project documentation using Procore and other tools.
• Support turnover, punch lists, and closeout activities.
