Job summary

Actalent, based in Omaha, NE, seeks a Traveling Superintendent to oversee field operations on large-scale construction projects nationwide. This hands-on leader will coordinate subcontractors, drive schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on site.

You will manage daily activities from startup to completion, read construction drawings, track progress, and collaborate with Project Managers, Owners, and trade partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience maintaining project schedules and coordinating multiple trades.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for projects nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities from project startup through completion.
• Lead subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure project goals are achieved.
• Coordinate work activities to maintain project schedules and productivity targets.
• Monitor manpower, sequencing, and overall jobsite performance.
• Promote and enforce company safety policies and project-specific requirements.
• Maintain daily reports, schedules, and project documentation.
