Job summary

RWE Design Build in Downers Grove, IL is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead construction projects across the United States, with frequent onsite visits to our headquarters. You will coordinate schedules, ensure safety, manage subcontractors, and maintain daily logs, progress photos and weekly reports while interfacing with owners, architects and PMs.

Candidates should have 5+ years of ground-up experience, OSHA 30, Procore proficiency, and willingness to travel nationally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a traveling superintendent.
• MUST HAVE 5+ YRS OF GROUND UP EXPERIENCE.
• OSHA 30 Certified.
• Experience with Procore.
• Must have reliable personal transportation; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must create and review initial project schedules weekly with subs, PMs and stakeholders.
• Strong technical, communication and computer skills (MS Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of safety procedures, regulations and codes.
• Local and national travel is required.
• Experience in ground-up construction, additions, interior remodels, design-build or carpentry is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction efforts and monitor progress with frequent onsite check-ins at the headquarters.
• Familiarize with plans, specs, site, local codes, and inspection procedures.
• Coordinate and maintain construction schedules to ensure drawings and specs are followed.
• Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project.
• Conduct meetings with subcontractor representatives daily and/or weekly.
• Ensure materials are delivered to sites as scheduled.
• Resolve conflicts with owners, architects and subcontractors and communicate with the Project Manager.
• Maintain daily logs, progress photos and weekly reports.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork.
• Attend job meetings and schedule required inspections and punch list closeouts.
