Job summary

Rockford is seeking a Traveling Construction Project Manager to plan, supervise, and execute a diverse set of construction projects from initiation to handoff. The role emphasizes coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining schedules and budgets, and delivering quality results in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset, construction estimating experience, and strong organizational skills, with the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years commercial construction experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
• Procore experience a plus; proficient with MS Project, Excel and Word.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery from contract award to final handoff.
• Develop and manage project budgets, cost controls, and forecasting with finance teams.
• Establish and manage project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Coordinate with architecture, engineering, preconstruction, and procurement teams.
• Negotiate and administer subcontracts and vendor agreements.
• Monitor safety, quality, and design compliance on site.
