Job summary

Rockford Construction is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee field construction on large projects. The role requires coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and trades, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality goals are met while maintaining safety.

Travel and extended stays away from home are expected with travel expenses covered per policy. This position demands leadership, site logistics planning, contract document review, and a strong adherence to quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Must be comfortable with heights.
• Certifications in First Aid/CPR, Storm Water Management, OSHA 30.
• Some travel may be required throughout the Midwest region and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Primary liaison with owner/architects/engineers for day-to-day construction activities.
• Plan and schedule project activities and site logistics for the duration of the project.
• Review contract documents and understand owner obligations, budget, and trade contracts.
• Perform constructability reviews and ensure quality assurance/quality control.
• Develop and implement a project-specific quality control program and ensure inspections.
