Job summary

Veit is seeking a Traveling Heavy Civil/Mission Critical Project Engineer/QC or Field Engineer to manage field logistics and coordinate with project managers and contractors. You will ensure compliance with engineering standards, supervise field operations, and generate reports for division leaders.

The role requires travel to mission critical job sites (80%), strong communication, and the ability to read and interpret project plans, with experience in QA/QC and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with field engineering and project coordination.
• Ability to manage field logistics and coordinate with PMs and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of safety, QA/QC plans, and daily reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage field logistics and update project managers and contractors.
• Prepare change orders and manage invoicing quantities.
• Develop and maintain submittal/RFI logs and project deliverables.
• Schedule and lead meetings with clients and teams.
• Oversee safety observations and site cleanliness.
