Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Coordinator in the Capital Area Region to support planning and progress of construction and renovation projects across the Commonwealth. The role requires daily travel to sites in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York counties, with occasional travel to additional counties.

The position is full-time and home headquartered, with daily travel to sites from Pennsylvania-approved locations.

Qualifications

• Four years of professional building construction administration, construction planning, or construction project engineering experience for renovations and new construction of commercial, institutional, or educational buildings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction progress and identify issues that may slow or disrupt work.
• Provide direction to contractors and outside professionals on project expectations.
• Confirm that materials, inspections, and testing meet required standards.
• Review and evaluate proposed changes to determine their impact on project needs.
• Maintain accurate project records through the department's electronic system.
• Serve as a point of contact for agencies to reduce disruptions during construction activities.
