Job summary

JE Dunn Construction Company seeks a Traveling Project Manager within the Advanced Facilities Group (AFG). The role will lead self-perform projects nationwide, traveling to assigned sites to oversee safety, scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor coordination.

Responsibilities include preconstruction support, buyout planning, submittal management, and regular stakeholder meetings. Bachelor's in CM/related field plus 5+ years BM required; travel-heavy role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and mentors staff.
• Manages the prestart process and lookahead.
• Supports preconstruction: quantity takeoff, trade coordination, scope development.
• Leads buyout schedule planning; verifies pricing and scope.
• Manages submittal schedule; reviews shop drawings.
• Ensures submittals are returned to subs per schedule.
• Coordinates with logistics for pricing on materials/equipment.
• Manages change requests and pricing with subs.
• Leads monthly project reviews and meetings (OAC).
• Prepares cost/margin forecast and budget updates.
• Oversees project closeout per best practices.
