General Responsibilities:

The Traveling Construction Technician performs tests and observations on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, and asphalt. You will communicate results to Project Managers, client representatives, and contractors. Training and certifications will be provided as you grow in the role.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Travel to project sites as assigned
• Assist with testing and observation of construction materials under supervision
• Document and communicate testing data accurately using digital devices
• Increase responsibilities through training and experience
• Maintain calibration and proper functioning of testing equipment
• Follow safety protocols and report issues
• Ensure quality standards and teamwork
• Transport materials safely using company vehicle

Requirements:

• 100% travel commitment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years relevant experience or equivalent training
• Proficiency with laptops, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Materials Certifications:

• ACI certifications such as Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, Concrete Strength Testing Technician, or Radiation Safety/Nuclear Density Gauge operation

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of safety certifications
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record

Preferred Certifications:

• NICET Level II in Construction Materials Testing (Asphalt, Concrete, Soils)
• ICC certifications in reinforced concrete, structural masonry, fireproofing, steel, etc.
• Other relevant certifications considered on a case-by-case basis

This position is classified as 'Remote Only,' typically working from home or another location. The salary range is $21.75 - $30.25 per hour, adjusted based on location and experience.
