Traveling Construction Laborer

APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN COLORADO OR BE IN THE PROCESS OF RELOCATING TO COLORADO. THE POSITION IS FOR LONG-TERM EMPLOYMENT.

Growing your career as a full-time Traveling Asphalt Operator is an incredible opportunity to join a long-standing family-owned and operated company in Canon City, CO. This position requires working in all types of weather including but not limited to high and low temperatures, wind, snow, and rain. This position is very physical, and the selected applicant should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, shovel, climb up and down, use ladders, bend, crawl, stoop, push, pull, reach overhead, and twist as appropriate.

Compensation: $21 per hour DOE

Schedule: Full-time - Typically 7 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday, some exceptions apply.

Traveling Construction Laborer Responsibilities:

1. Participate in daily safety meetings.
2. Follow all health and safety regulations.
3. Safely operate different hand and power tools.
4. Work around ready-mix sites, gravel pits, and on highway paving crews.
5. Complete assigned tasks quickly and efficiently.
6. Comply with all safety protocols and wear proper safety equipment.
7. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
8. Light maintenance.

Construction Laborer Qualifications:

1. Ability to handle physical workload.
2. Effective written and oral communication skills.
3. Ability to manage time.
4. Have reliable transportation and a current driver’s license.
5. Must pass pre-employment and random drug screens.
6. Must be able to pass a basic fitness test.
