Job summary

B in Augusta, GA is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform formwork, placement, and finishing of concrete in line with project specifications. You will read drawings, erect and set forms for floors, walls, columns, tilt-walls, and other cast-in-place structures, and assist with concrete placement.

Qualifications

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble forms for concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores, etc.
• Set forms to elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel placement.
• Erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser, or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for elevated work.
• Communicate safety and material needs with Foreman or PM.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
