Job summary

B is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform a range of carpentry tasks tied to prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. You will read drawings, build and set forms for floors, walls, columns, and tilt-walls, and ensure proper elevations while maintaining safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities include constructing forms, aiding reinforcing steel installation, verifying precision with levels and lasers, and coordinating with the project team to solve issues on site.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Experience in construction or contracting industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; aid in reinforcing steel installation.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• May assist signaling concrete deliverer to position truck for pouring.
• Observe and comply with all safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
