Job summary

B is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to join our field team in Jacksonville. You will prepare, pour, place, and finish concrete, including forming for floors, walls, and foundations.

This role requires reading drawings, setting elevations, and coordinating with the crew to ensure quality and safety on site. Responsibilities include building forms, aiding in form placement, verifying alignment, and assisting with concrete placement as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or contracting industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser, or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• May help signal concrete deliverer to position truck for pouring.
• Observe and comply with all safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
