Job summary

B&B Concrete in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform a range of carpentry tasks related to prepping, pouring, placing and finishing concrete. You will read drawings and set forms for floors, walls, columns, tilt-wall and other structures per specifications.

This on-site role requires safety awareness, ability to erect scaffolding, and coordination with the foreman. Prior construction experience and strong communication and attention to detail are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or contracting industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms to elevations and may assist with reinforcing steel.
• Erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman or Project Manager about problems and safety.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
