Job summary

B in Austin, TX is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform formwork, pour and finish concrete on structures per drawings. You will set and align forms, place rebar and assist with concrete placement, ensuring elevations and tolerances meet specs.

Safety, communication with foreman, and readiness of equipment are essential. Preferred candidates have construction experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings and prints.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls and other structures.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; aid in installing reinforcing steel.
• Erect forms using diverse materials and forming systems (symon forms).
• Verify accuracy using plumb bob, level, laser or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about issues, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
