Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a skilled Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform carpentry tasks related to prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. The role includes building and erecting forms for foundations, walls, and floors, and coordinating with the project team on elevations and safety.

The position requires reading and interpreting drawings, setting forms with precision, and assisting with concrete placement while adhering to safety policies and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Maintain safety while handling forms and placing concrete.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores, stairways.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations and aid in installing reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using a wide variety of materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenter level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
