Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform carpentry tasks for prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete in commercial settings. You will build forms, set elevations, and assist with placements under supervisor guidance.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, assembling forms for floors, walls, columns and tilt-wall projects, maintaining safety, and communicating hazards or material needs to the Foreman or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or contracting industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores, stairways, etc.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; may aid in installing reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using varied materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is all in safe working condition.
• May help signal concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
