Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors seeks a Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform carpentry tasks for preparing, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. You will build and set forms for floors, walls, and columns, using wood or metal forms and symon systems.

You will read drawings, verify elevations, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure safe,-efficient pours. Applicants should have construction experience, strong communication, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience in construction or contracting environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for floors, walls, columns.
• Set forms to elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using various materials; mainly symon forms.
• Verify accuracy with plumb bob, level, laser or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for above-ground work.
• Coordinate with Foreman or PM on issues, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is safe and well-maintained.
• Signal concrete deliverer to position truck for pouring.
• Follow all safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
