Job summary

B is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform formwork, pour and finish concrete for foundations, slabs, walls and structures in Memphis.

You will read drawings, set forms, place reinforcing steel as needed, and coordinate with foremen to ensure safety and quality.

This role requires carpentry experience in concrete construction and strict attention to detail, with a commitment to safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or contracting industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; aid in reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using diverse materials and forming systems (symon forms).
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, level, laser, or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about issues, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
