Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Knoxville, TN seeks a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform carpentry tasks for prep, pour, place, and finish of concrete. You will erect and set forms for slabs, columns, and structures according to drawings and specs.

Responsibilities include reading prints, assembling formwork, setting forms to elevations, installing reinforcing steel, and maintaining safety on site. Strong communication with foreman and team is required; previous experience in concrete formwork

• Able to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Experience building formwork for concrete floors, walls, columns, and structures.
• Commitment to safety policies and guidelines.
• Strong communication with foreman and project team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble formwork for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, etc.
• Set forms to elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, level, and laser/digital tools.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about issues, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
