Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform carpentry tasks for prepping, pouring, placing and finishing concrete. You will erect and set forms for foundations, floors, decks and other cast‑in‑place structures per drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, building and assembling wood or metal forms, setting elevations, assisting with reinforcing steel, and maintaining safety on site.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete elements.
• Set and place forms to elevations and locations; assist with reinforcing steel.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores, stairs, etc.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; may aid in installing reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using a wide variety of materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• May help signal concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring.
• Observe and comply with safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
