Traveling Community Manager / Field Operations Support Manager

AIR Communities is one of the country’s largest owners and operators of multifamily housing. We manage high‑quality communities across the country. This position is a heavy travel role with up to 75% of the year on the road or in the air.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the acting Community Manager wherever assigned and provide standard operational support.
  • Provide regional oversight of all aspects of Property Management of multiple communities, including profitability, financial direction, budget and forecast preparation, outreach and marketing, training and supervision of staff.
  • Provide support to the Regional Offices for properties assigned.
  • Assist Property Managers, Service Managers, Regional Property Managers, Area Service Managers, Directors of Service & Quality, and Directors of Operations with the completion of action plans resulting from audits.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert on direct operations, finances and mentoring.
Qualifications
  • Expectation and ability to travel at least 75% of the time with easy access to a large airport.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Community Operations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a direct Community Management role.
  • Proven track record in managing large properties, motivation, communication and hands‑on management.
  • Strong team‑building, coaching and training skills; multiple site supervision experience; excellent customer service background; strong financial results orientation; demonstrated ability to enhance value at the community level.
