Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a commissioning expert for automated material handling and conveyor systems. You will travel full-time across North America to install, test, and validate systems at customer facilities, translating drawings into working setups and handing off validated subsystems with checklists.

You will load PLC programs, perform static functional tests, and validate I/O and device-level operations. Strong diagnostic skills, network knowledge, and report-writing are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing and/or maintaining conveyor equipment.
• Fluent in reading/interpreting electrical prints and using model-specific checklists.
• Capable of generating and maintaining action-item lists based on inspections.
• Technical Proficiency PLC troubleshooting and PLC wiring experience.
• Electrical troubleshooting.
• Electrical schematics/schematic reading.
• Experience with 480 voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with electrical installers and Controls Engineers to implement and validate material handling systems at customer sites across North America.
• Load emulated PLC programs and conduct static functional testing aligned to the Description of Operation and drawing documentation.
• Execute comprehensive I/O and device-level checkout and validation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving PLCs, field devices, and network repeaters.
• Test, validate, and repair communications/control networks: Ethernet IP, Device Net, Control Net, Profi-bus, AS-I, and CAN.
• Hand off validated subsystems to the Controls Engineering group with completed validation checklists.
• Provide daily and weekly progress reports detailing achievements and exceptions.
• Travel & Work Environment: Location: 100% travel with extended durations anywhere in the U.S.; projects span North America.
