Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced commissioning engineer for a full-time traveling assignment on an Advanced Technology project including Data Centers in the Nashville area. You will manage end-to-end commissioning and QC activities across Level 1–5, coordinating with architects, engineers, trades, and owners to ensure compliant delivery.

The role requires a strong MEP background, 12+ years of General Construction experience, and 5+ years of commissioning experience, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years in General Construction (MEP) roles.
• Minimum of 5 years of Commissioning experience bridging field and engineering responsibilities.
• Broad knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes across trades, means and methods.
• ASHRAE Commissioning certification desired or strong understanding of ASHRAE process.
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and environmental controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Commissioning activities from Level 1 through Level 5 for new or retrofit facilities.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, trade partners, and operations teams to streamline project delivery.
• Implement QC policies and procedures to support schedules and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with QC and MEP teams for checklists, documents, and commissioning activities.
• Lead Start-up/Commissioning meetings and integrate schedules with project plan.
• Develop and maintain QC Plan and online equipment database for consistency.
• Oversee dashboards for Quality and Closeout to identify trends and issues.
• Understand project contracts and owner requirements to guide Commissioning work.
• Travel to project sites as required and coordinate vendor activities.
