Job summary

Russell is a professional services firm delivering construction and development across the Midwest. We seek a Traveling Superintendent to supervise all phases of the construction project on-site, ensuring schedule adherence and safety compliance.

You will coordinate with project teams, manage on-site activities, and support estimation and shop drawing reviews while traveling to various project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years commercial construction experience as superintendent.
• Computer experience required.
• Strong management and communication skills.
• Understanding of scheduling and cost control; ability to supervise large teams.
• Travel is required; valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate and supervise on-site trade activities during all project phases.
• Adhere to the project schedule and milestones.
• Communicate with project manager, architect, engineer and team to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and schedule.
• Monitor safety program and enforce corrective measures.
• Maintain positive client relationships.
• Attend project status and related meetings as required.
• Assist in estimating, review of subcontractor/material proposals, and master schedule development.
• Assist in review of shop drawings and turnover walkthroughs.
