Job summary
Tri State General Contractors is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead day‑to‑day field operations on large commercial projects across California. The role requires hands‑on leadership, strong communication, and strict safety adherence to keep projects on schedule and within specifications.
The ideal candidate will travel to out‑of‑town sites for multiple weeks, coordinate multiple trades, review plans, and ensure inspections and approvals are obtained.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar field leadership role within commercial construction.
- Experience managing ground‑up commercial construction projects from site development through final turnover.
- Proven track record overseeing large‑scale commercial construction with multiple trades and complex scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Lead field operations for commercial construction projects and coordinate subcontractors.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure alignment.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure subcontractor alignment; supervise inspections and safety.
- Support project closeout with documentation, warranties, and as‑builts.
