Job summary

AIR Control Concepts in Rock Hill, SC seeks a Traveling Commercial HVAC Service Technician to service data centers nationwide. You will startup, commission, and service complex HVAC systems across the U.S., with travel stipends and potential sign-on bonus based on experience.

When home, you’ll partner with a local operating company to support regional commercial clients. This role requires 5+ years in commercial HVAC, EPA Universal Certification, strong diagnostics, and customer-facing skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience with chillers, hydronic systems, VRF, RTUs, or mission-critical cooling.
• EPA Universal Certification required; OEM-specific training or certifications preferred.
• Skilled in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and interpreting service manuals and schematics.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, team-focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in rooftops and tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize a variety of commercial HVAC systems; perform preventative maintenance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; address service concerns and provide quality communication.
• Coordinate with internal teams for efficient scheduling and ensure timely service reports.
• Stay current through ongoing technical training; mentor junior technicians in the field.
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA regulations; participate in after-hours emergency response.
• Contribute to the team by supporting regional work when not traveling.
