Job summary

AIR Control Concepts is seeking an experienced Traveling Commercial HVAC Service Technician based in Denver, CO, to support mission-critical data centers nationwide. This role involves startup, commissioning, and service of complex HVAC systems while collaborating with local teams when at home base.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining client relationships with clear communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience with systems such as chillers, hydronic systems, VRF, RTUs, packaged equipment or mission-critical cooling systems preferred.
• EPA Universal Certification required; OEM-specific training or certifications preferred.
• Skilled in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and interpreting service manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Service, Troubleshooting & Optimization – Diagnose and resolve issues on a variety of commercial HVAC systems. Perform preventative maintenance and fine-tune system performance for energy efficiency and reliability.
• Customer Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong client relationships by addressing service concerns, recommending improvements, and delivering high-quality communication and support.
• Communication & Documentation – Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient scheduling and follow-up. Accurately complete service reports, work orders, and related documentation in a timely manner.
• Training & Mentorship – Stay up to date through ongoing technical training. Serve as a resource and occasional mentor to junior technicians in the field.
• Safety & Compliance – Follow all safety guidelines and regulatory requirements as outlined by OSHA, the company, and customer sites.
• Emergency Response – Participate in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for urgent service needs.
