Job summary

AIR Control Concepts is seeking a Traveling Commercial HVAC Service Technician based in Charlotte, NC, to service mission-critical data centers across the U.S. You will handle startup, commissioning, and ongoing service of complex HVAC systems while collaborating with local partners when not traveling.

The role requires 5+ years of HVAC experience, EPA Universal Certification, and strong diagnostics. Travel nationwide with onsite work and opportunities for growth in a dynamic, premium benefits

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience with complex systems preferred.
• EPA Universal Certification is required; OEM training or certifications are a plus.
• Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills with the ability to read manuals and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service; professional, team-focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; able to pass background check and drug screening.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in various field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues on commercial HVAC systems. Perform preventive maintenance and optimize system performance for reliability.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by addressing service concerns and providing quality communication.
• Coordinate with internal teams to schedule work and complete service reports accurately.
• Mentor junior technicians and participate in ongoing technical training.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and regulatory requirements on customer sites.
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
