Job Description

Skillforce is looking for Traveling Commercial Electricians in Temple, TX and Big Spring, TX. Must be able to pass a federal level background check and drug test.

Compensation: $31.00 per hour plus a $125/day per diem for travelers. This role offers a daily per diem of $125/day, 7 days a week, for those who wish to travel in for the role. Must be within 8 hours of the jobsite.

Commercial Electrician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, focusing on quality customer service, installation, and repair of electrical wiring and systems.
• Inspect, test, and perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, lighting, signals, communications, and power circuits.
• Identify, communicate, and isolate electrical hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Commercial Electrician Qualifications:

• Knowledge of commercial electrical construction practices including threading, bending conduit, and pulling/removing wire.
• Experience with low and medium voltage systems.
• Ability to work with EMT conduit (3/4-1 inch).
• Skills in cable pulling, splicing, and wall rough-in.
• Proficiency in running and bending conduit.
• Experience in completing terminations.
• This position is in a government facility. You must pass a background check with no record and a DOT drug test.
