Job summary

KTA-Tator, Inc. seeks Traveling Commercial Building Inspectors to perform field inspections nationwide. The role blends field work with project execution, focusing on building systems, coatings, and envelope diagnostics.

Candidates should be prepared for extensive travel and hands-on investigations. Qualifications include an engineering‑/construction‑related degree (preferred), coatings credentials, and experience with blueprints and construction software.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction or a related field, preferred.
• AMPP Basic coatings credentials are preferred.
• Willingness to travel ~70% of the time (2‑week rotations, up to 4 weeks).
• Experience with insurance property inspections or roof inspections is highly transferable.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of retail box stores nationwide, before, during and after remodels.
• Conduct building condition assessments and inspections of exterior coatings, sealants, and caulking.
• Gather data, take photos, and summarize results electronically for QA reports.
