Job summary

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Combo Welders for projects in the Cameron, LA area. This first shift role offers up to $52/hour plus $105/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site.

If you are a Combo Welder, join a team that emphasizes safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship. You will lay out, align and weld fabrications, install and repair piping and equipment, and work from blueprints and specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance welding experience.
• Must pass drug screen, hearing test, and a respirator fit test.
• Must pass a weld test with GTAW and SMAW as specified.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy.
• Install, modify, and make repairs to pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums.
• Set up equipment and weld either pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
• Other tasks as assigned.
