Job summary

Ziegler Industries seeks a Traveling Coatings Foreman to lead field crews on industrial coating, painting, waterproofing, and concrete restoration projects. This hands‑on leadership role requires overseeing safety, schedule, and quality while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in coatings with 2+ years of supervisory experience, knowledge of epoxy/polyurethane systems, and proficiency with surface prep and blasting standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial coatings, waterproofing, or concrete restoration experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or foreman experience.
• Strong knowledge of epoxy, polyurethane, and fiberglass coating systems.
• Experience with abrasive blasting and surface preparation standards (SSPC, NACE/AMPP).
• Proficiency operating airless spray equipment, plural‑component systems, and blasting equipment.
• Ability to read project specifications, technical data sheets, and safety data sheets.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 30 and NACE/AMPP CIP Level 1 certifications are highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word).

Responsibilities

• Lead crews of 3–10 industrial painters and coating applicators.
• Perform coating, painting, epoxy, fiberglass, and protective coating applications.
• Direct daily work activities to maintain productivity and quality.
• Ensure proper surface preparation and coating procedures.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and JHAs; enforce PPE and fall protection rules.
• Monitor environmental conditions for coating applications.
• Perform quality inspections and document results.
• Coordinate work with project managers, clients, inspectors, and other trades.
• Manage coating materials, equipment, and inventory.
• Train crew members on safety and application techniques.
• Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and safety documentation.
• Maintain OSHA, EPA, and company standards.
