Job summary

RNGD is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead field execution of infrastructure projects in and around Birmingham, AL. This on-site role serves as the primary contact for field operations, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality across multiple sites.

The incumbent will coordinate field strategies, supervise crews and subcontractors, and manage project documentation, with travel between active jobsites. Strong leadership and a track record in civil construction are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of field leadership in civil or infrastructure construction environments.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to active construction sites.
• Experience supervising multiple sites and coordinating subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution of infrastructure work, including earthwork, utilities, drainage, concrete structures, roadway, and civil systems.
• Coordinate subcontractor startup meetings to ensure scope, schedule, safety, and quality alignment.
• Monitor production and field performance, adjusting strategies to meet schedule and budget objectives.
• Ensure compliance with approved work plans, inspection requirements, and quality standards.
• Coach and develop project teams, uphold RNGD values, and manage client relationships.
