Job summary

Infinity Healthcare Consulting is seeking a Traveling Chef Manager to lead culinary operations across multiple healthcare communities. You will travel between facilities to provide operational support, cook and assist with menu execution, and ensure adherence to food safety and healthcare dining standards.

You will supervise Executive Chefs and kitchen staff, standardize recipes and service, and promote nutritious, resident-focused dining while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school education or equivalent.
• Two years dietary experience.
• Experience with senior adults or healthcare populations.
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• ServSafe certification or equivalent food-safety credential.
• Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
• Experience managing multiple culinary locations or traveling to cook.
• Experience with inventory, purchasing, and menu management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Executive Chefs, Kitchen Managers, cooks, and dining-service teams with coaching and guidance.
• Maintain consistent culinary standards and service expectations across locations.
• Support openings, leadership transitions, staffing shortages, and operational turnarounds.
• Ensure meals are appealing, nutritious, properly portioned, and served at correct temperatures.
• Support menus that meet nutritional and dietary needs of senior/healthcare residents.
• Ensure modified diets and allergen-sensitive meals are prepared and served.
• Foster hospitality-focused dining respecting resident preferences and dignity.
• Monitor resident feedback and collaborate with leadership to address concerns.
• Train kitchen staff on techniques, sanitation, portion control, and menu execution.
• Reinforce company policies and professional standards.
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, waste, and portion control.
• Standardize ordering practices and vendor specifications across locations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Maintain high standards for food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies.
