Job summary

Nephrology Associates, P.C. is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) to support ambulatory care in Madison, Franklin, or Nashville, TN. You will assist providers, room patients, take vitals, and maintain EMR documentation, with travel to other offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CCMA credential (Tennessee)
• Current BLS certification
• Willingness and ability to travel to other offices; reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support under the direction of a physician or advanced practice provider.
• Room patients for exams and record vitals, urinalysis, and documentation in the EMR.
• Perform CMA scope tasks: phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, specimen processing, and assist with procedures.
• Review charts and conduct pre-visit planning; update medications and test results.
• Report lab findings to providers and carry out documented orders per protocol and supervision.
• Support chronic care management with monthly outreach for enrolled patients.
• Triage patient calls for urgent needs under RN/physician direction.
• Educate and counsel patients using approved guidelines.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, instruments, and clinical quality standards.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
• Collaborate with patients, clinicians, and staff to foster a positive team culture.
