Job summary

NEPHROLOGY ASSOCIATES in Tullahoma, TN is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) to support ambulatory clinical care. You will assist providers, room patients, and keep visits running smoothly, with travel to other offices as needed. An active CCMA credential valid in Tennessee and current BLS are required.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, vitals, EMR documentation, and patient education, while maintaining safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Active CCMA certification valid in Tennessee.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willing and able to travel to other offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support under the direction of a physician or advanced practice provider.
• Prepare patients for exams: rooming, vitals, urinalysis; document accurately in the EMR.
• Perform CMA scope tasks: phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, specimen processing, and assist with office procedures.
• Review charts and conduct pre-visit planning; update meds and recent test results.
• Report lab findings to providers and carry out documented orders per protocol and RN/provider supervision.
• Triage patient calls for urgent needs under RN/physician direction.
• Educate and counsel patients using approved guidelines.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, instruments, and clinical quality standards.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and confidentiality (HIPAA) at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, clinicians, and staff; contribute to a positive team culture.
