Qualifications

• Active CMA certification valid in Tennessee.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willing to travel to other offices; valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
• 12+ months CMA experience in ambulatory or primary care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care support under physician/APP direction.
• Room patients, take vitals, urinalysis, document in EMR.
• Perform CMA scope tasks: phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, specimen processing, assist procedures.
• Review charts and conduct pre-visit planning; update meds and test results.
• Report lab findings and carry out documented orders per protocol and RN/provider supervision.
• Document monthly outreach for enrolled patients; triage patient calls.
• Educate and counsel patients using approved guidelines.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, instruments, and clinical quality standards.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Collaborate effectively with patients, clinicians, and staff; contribute to a positive team culture.
