Job summary

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Carpenter for the Central Water Group/Hutto South WWTP Expansion in Hutto, TX. The carpenter constructs, erects, installs wooden structures using hand and power tools for commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects.

This on-site role requires 3–5 years of verifiable experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adherence to safety policies. Candidates must pass pre-employment drug screening. The Walsh Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied weather.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and follow safety policies.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface to prepare for laying down work
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drainage structures, walls and additional structures
• May assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed)
• Uses carpenter's belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery
