Job summary

The Walsh Group, Archer Western Construction is seeking a Pipe Layer for the Central Water Group/Hutto South WWTP Expansion in Hutto, TX. The Pipe Layer will lay, join, wrap and seal pipe for water mains and sanitary sewer on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil sites, using hand and power tools as needed.

Responsibilities include coordinating with crew members, handling equipment, and performing physical labor as required.

Qualifications

• 1 Year Verifiable Experience Preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete and other types of pipe for water/gas main, sanitary sewer
• Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
• Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor
