Job summary

Vertex Professional Services (VPS) is seeking an Automotive Aftermarket Instructor to deliver instructor-led training to automotive technicians, both virtually and in-person, across formats from seminars to hands-on sessions at Edwards AFB. This role requires deep diagnostic knowledge and the ability to mentor entry-level and advanced technicians.

The position entails collaboration with stakeholders, developing training content for multiple media types, and 25–50% overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years automotive technician experience.
• Automotive instructor or public speaking experience.
• Experience with aftermarket parts and supplier processes/standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training virtually and in-person through seminars, coaching, and hands-on sessions from 1–8 hours to transfer theory to live diagnostics.
• Schedule training with stakeholders in the assigned market area.
• Demonstrate on-vehicle diagnosis/repair procedures and evaluate technician skills.
• Develop training content for media types including video, web-based, seminar, and certification.
• Provide diagnostic assistance to technicians by phone; travel 25–50% overnight.
