Job summary

Moss & Associates LLC invites applications for an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager on a wood multifamily project in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You will assist in contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling while coordinating with owners, subcontractors, and the design team.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, and 3+ years in construction management with a general contractor, plus strong

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a project engineer or assistant project manager in the construction industry with a general contractor.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with construction project management applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with owners, A/E teams and authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews design documents and identifies key subcontractors.
  • Coordinates and obtains permitting and coordinates with vendors/subcontractors.
  • Manages change order process and project reporting.
  • Administers RFI process and document control.
  • Develops project procedures, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates.

POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss' Assistant Project Managers are responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the administrative and technical management of the wood multifamily project. They assist in supervising all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling.

  • sets up and distributes project directory and mobilizes onto site

  • obtains and delivers warranties and transfers attic stock
  • demobilizes field operations

  • participates in Company-sponsored events

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline or 5 years’ experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a project engineer or assistant project manager in the construction industry with a general contractor

Strong computer skills are a necessity, including familiarity with construction project management applications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and are required to interface directly with owners' representatives, the A/E team, building departments and other team members

Intermediate finance skills are required
