Traveling Assistant Project Manager - Nationwide

The Role

The Assistant Project Manager supports the project team in managing all aspects of construction projects, including developing, coordinating, and implementing project schedules to ensure timely, within-budget, and high-quality project completion.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor
  • Familiarity with detailed fixed-price estimates; ability to use RSMeans or similar published unit price books for detailed line item estimates
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • Resource management skills, including managing operations support staff, vendors, subcontractors, and time
  • Strong ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates integrity aligned with Centennial's core values
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear and professional presentation of information
  • Willingness to adapt to evolving technology, design, systems, including Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Assist with project budgets, communicate effectively with team members, including subcontractors and clients; develop and review scope of work; negotiate as needed; coordinate project close-out.
  • Estimating: Prepare estimates based on specifications and drawings; assist with entering line items into estimating software.
  • Subcontractor Management: Solicit proposals, review for compliance, gather safety information.
  • Scheduling: Help develop project schedules with superintendents.
  • Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality guidelines and regulations.
Travel Requirements

This role involves ongoing travel to various project sites across the United States, often requiring driving between locations. The work environment includes office settings and site visits under various weather conditions.

Compensation

Salary range: $41,600.00 - $103,284.00
