Job description

Can’t stand being stuck behind a desk? Like working solo? Good with your hands? We have the perfect job for you as a Traveling 3D Scanning Technician!

Important Information

Responsibilities:

  • The 3D Imaging position supports the ‘capture’ of existing conditions using a variety of techniques and technology. Examples of some of the documentation done on-site are 3D laser scanning, structure inspection, measurement (GPS, laser and hand measurement), 360-degree photography, plan notation and HD photography.
  • Reviews and manages the Project Scope to ensure the what, when and why are met and other client goals are achieved.
  • Prepares travel and assets for the trip based on the project scope and arrives early to ensure a successful event at the client's location.
  • Arranges and meets with clients to get an overview of the building(s) and to review the project for clear expectations on both sides.
  • Documents and maintains good notes on the project to track a successful process and clearly communicates back to the team as needed to ensure clarity, excellence, and redirection on tasks that need completed.
  • Manages and documents the pictures/video scans of the building(s) based on the scope of the project and follows up on the process with the office support team to ensure the work is done well.
  • Reviews the recordings in process and ensures the team is recording, saving and downloading the picture/video scans accurately for the office team to start the next steps.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience with Matterport or Leica BLK360 camera equipment.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Solid verbal and basic written communication skills to work with the team and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Capable of using basic tools, screwdriver, hammer, measuring tape, laser measure and door stops.
  • Strong software/computer/phone/iPad/APP skills.
  • Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders IAW OSHA guidelines, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Self-Motivated, self-starter works alone most of the time.
  • Walking at a fast pace.
  • Working swing shifts (before or after normal business hours).
  • Able to work in inside and outside conditions.
  • Capable of interacting positively with leadership while following instructions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.

  • Weekly Pay (“Rain” Offered- Early Access to Wages).

Pay: Position is paid on a project pay basis of $50-$500 per scan.
