Job summary

Healing Partners seeks a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care. It requires travel to multiple facilities within a local region and provides wound care assessment, treatment, and collaboration with physicians and the medical director to improve outcomes.

The role demands active RN/APRN licensure in the state, a Master’s in Nursing, and Covid vaccination proof, plus strong organizational and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree of Nursing required.
• Active nursing license as APRN.
• Covid vaccination proof.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Daily travel to various facilities; regional scheduling varies.
• Examine and treat wound-related illnesses and injuries; order tests and follow up as needed.
• Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside wound care procedures.
• Work with the medical director for resident and staff care.
• Perform debridement of wounds as appropriate at point of care.
