Qualifications

• Ability to pass weld tests on 1" plate including fillet and groove welds.
• Strong math skills and ability to use a tape measure.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Tack and fit steel components in preparation for welding.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely.
• Perform welding on heavy steel components.
• Read blueprints for layout and fitting work.

Skills

Ability to weld structural steel

Strong math and measurement skills

Ability to operate a hand-cutting torch

Blueprint reading and steel layout experience

Strong safety mindset
