Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to provide specialized respiratory care for ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, collaborate with physicians, and ensure safe transitions from hospital to home.

The role requires an associates degree in respiratory therapy, at least 1 year of ventilator-experienced clinical work, a valid RT license, CPR, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience with ventilator exposure.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch.
• CPR certification.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, ventilators, HME products, and related guidelines.
• Perform clinical assessments and reassessments; communicate findings to physicians and referral sources.
• Participate in discharge planning and execution for ventilator-dependent patients.
• Demonstrate and instruct patients and caregivers on ventilator units and equipment use.
• Provide clinical follow up with physicians and referral sources regarding patient status.
