Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel Vascular Technologist in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position involves conducting vascular ultrasound exams, using Doppler technology, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience, hold a current BLS certification, and preferably possess additional certifications. The role requires strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills. This is a travel position with compensation based on a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a Vascular Technologist.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Preferred certifications include RVT, RVS, or ARDMS National Certification.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vascular ultrasound exams including carotid, arterial, venous, and abdominal studies.
• Use Doppler technology and ultrasound equipment to assess blood flow.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort during exams.
• Document normal and abnormal imaging findings for physician interpretation.
• Calibrate and maintain ultrasound machines and related equipment.
