Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Sonographer for a night shift assignment in Iowa. The role requires 2+ years of sonography experience across general/abdomen, non-high-risk OB/GYN, and vascular imaging, with ARDMS certification.

The position uses Epic EMR and involves 36 hours per week on nights, including some weekend work and 1-2 holidays when required. BLS certification is required and travel/licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of experience as a Sonographer/in vascular ultrasound.
• Experience in general/abdomen, non-high-risk OB/GYN, and vascular imaging required.
• ARDMS certifications required (AB).
• ARDMS RVT and OB/GYN certifications highly preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ultrasound department performing an average of 15 scans per day.
• General, OB/GYN, and vascular patient population.
• Exams include abdomen/RUQ with liver vessel evaluation, kidneys and bladder, pelvis (transabdominal and transvaginal...).
• Assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis preferred but not required.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Night shift schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 36 hours per week.
• Weekend work as scheduled.
• No on-call requirements.
• Work 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays during holiday season if unit open.
