Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Vascular Sonographer for a 13-week assignment in Waterloo, Iowa. The role involves performing vascular ultrasound exams, including carotid, arterial, venous and abdominal studies, using Doppler and non-invasive techniques to assess blood flow and document findings.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, a current BLS, RVT preferred or ARDMS credentials, and state licensure may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in vascular sonography
• Current BLS certification required
• ARDMS RVT/RDMS credentials preferred
• State licensure may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound exams including carotid, arterial, venous and abdominal studies
• Use Doppler technology to assess blood flow and identify vascular conditions
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort during exams
• Document normal and abnormal findings for physician interpretation
• Maintain equipment and adhere to infection control standards
• Collaborate with physicians and care team members
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
